Reopening after Lockdown no: 3!!
The Strands Team were absolutely delighted to reopen its doors again on Monday 12th April after being closed since before the new year. Nearly 2 weeks in and we have been overwhelmed by the support from all of our clients. We would like to thank you all for being so patient and understanding, our staff are working tremendously hard to accommodate everyone and will hopefully get caught up very soon so that normal booking procedures can resume.
So what have we been up to during lock down?
The salon has some new additions to its decor and we took advantage of the time to complete some decorating in areas that we missed during the first lockdown. Our reception has been reorganised to allow for more retail space. Clients can now access all of our brands in this area including our recent additions ANP (Advanced Nutrition Programs) Environ Skin care and Jane Iredale Make-up.
The Staff have been taking advantage of the time to update and develop their skills with online and in house training. The stylist have been learning new colour skills techniques for example on trend colouring money pieces, Bridal hair and Hair up. Our therapists have gained additional knowledge in Skin Solutions, Flawless Skin, Virtual Consultations, Make-up & Bridal Make-up and new product launches and more.
We have had to make some changes to our COVID protocols, one main one being procedure for allergy testing. New guidelines state patch testing will have to be carried out 48 hours (minimum) on every client before each and every colour or tinting service booked and this will be for the foreseeable. Full details will be sent to all of clients when booking appointments.
This has been a very difficult year for everyone and we really do hope that this last lockdown, is indeed our last! Looking forward our Team will do all we can to keep everyone safe and secure in the salon environment and give confidence to our clients that there visit will still be an enjoyable and relaxing experience.
